My Life As Liz

I’m sure you have all heard about the new MTV "reality" show called "My Life as Liz". If you haven’t, here is the basic rundown of the series this far, Liz Lee the main character in this disaster of a plot scenario. Basically we the viewers are following Liz in her "video diary" watching her bash her so called best friends and fellow colleagues. The show is a mixture of extremely scripted sitcom, exaggerated reality show, and the movie Juno. The setting is in a small town Texas high school; Burleson to be exact.

Although they exaggerated that too, only filming old town Burleson, and of course the Wal-Mart. To achieve this effect even more they don’t even include all of Burleson High. When they show the football field they only show the small bleachers that haven’t been used in many many years. They have filmed in Keene as well and possibly Rio. Liz Lee, starring role and creator, came up with the concept. In actual non-scripted reality Liz, Taylor, Cori, and Tori are all best friends forever. In fact, Liz is a "Queen Bee" of the group, yet another break in the real vs. fake contoversy. The show airs on MTV, Monday nights at 10:30, Eastern and Pacific times; 9:30, Central time.

The Invention of Lying review

PDFPrintE-mail

Written by Chelsei Cogdill Monday, 05 October 2009 07:28

The Invention of Lying, directed by Ricky Gervais, is a movie about a world that doesn’t know what lying is. One man, Mark, tells the very first lie. Mark realizes that lying has its perks and he begins to lie about pretty much everything, until one of his lies spread and it is taken as pretty much a religion. This movie is a comedy, but it has its sentimental moments. I would most definitely recommend this movie to anyone who loves a good laugh. Last Updated on Monday, 05 October 2009 07:30
