College choices of 2010

So Salitza is going off to Kansas to play tennis, but where are all the other seniors going to college? This year’s soon-to-be-graduates are planning on spreading out all over the state and country for college.
For an example, Lizelle Morales will be traveling to Oachita Hills College in Arkansas, while Shelbie Smith will be staying in close range for the University of Texas at Arlington. "I’m very excited to be attending UTA." Shelbie Smith said. "I like the college because it’s pretty close to home while being an excellent school, especially for my desired major."
Elias Ortega has decided that he wants to head to the sunshine state for Florida’s Institute of Technology, and Tabitha Miles is still searching for a college with a good nursing program.
Then there are the seniors who are taking a leap into the big state universities. Juan Castleblanco is planning on going to Texas A&M, and yours truly will be attending the University of Texas at Austin. Jennifer Cortes, Miriam Castellanos, and Keli Shaw have all decided to go to Stephenville for Tarleton State University.
"I’m really super-hyped about going to Tarleton." Jennifer Cortes said. "It’s going to be AWESOME!"
Daniel Rojas is searching for a soccer scholarship, but if that becomes impossible, then he’s decided to join some of his classmates at one of the state universities. Ryan Baze has decided to stay here and attend Hill College, then head to fire school to become a firefighter.
However, not all of the seniors are sure of where they’ll be heading next fall. Pablo Colindres is willing to go "wherever they accept me." Others, like Noelani Tolwi, are in a bit of a panic because they did not send in necessary documents and applications in time to attend the school of their choice.
"I’m feeling very stressed out because I did not take my SATs at the end of my junior year, like I should have." Noelani Tolwi said. "I really regret not being responsible and taking my SATs on time. So make sure you take the necessary tests ASAP, and turn in your college applications before the deadline!"
Noelani speaks wise words. Juniors use the advice from your intelligent seniors, and take care of business while you can.
In the meantime, good luck to all the seniors, wherever you may end up next fall!
